First of all, the travel stuff is still coming. The amount of time I’ve been putting into looking for a job and getting myself back into the working frame of mind has way exceeded my expectations. So, this is just going to be a brief post, and when I say brief, I mean brief.
I went to see Avengers: Infinity War a little while back, and I’ve been meaning to say something about it. For starters, it was fantastic. It wasn’t perfect, and there are definitely a couple of things I thought could have been better, but considering what a massive undertaking it was, they did a brilliant job. There was, however, one thing that was exceptional.
Thanos. Without giving any spoilers away, Thanos is the best villain so far in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, hands down. Not only that, in fact, but I’d say he’s joined the list of my personal favourite villains of all time, which includes the likes of Heath Ledger’s Joker, Colonel Hans Landa from Inglourious Basterds, Bruce the Shark (from Jaws), and the Kingpin from the Daredevil Netflix series – another MCU villain, to boot – among others.
That’s what I wanted to say, really. Just throw my two cents out. If you haven’t seen Infinity War, watch it. Because its the culmination of ten years and who knows how many hours of a single cinematic universe, but also, because Thanos.
