Difficult as I find it to believe, today is the second anniversary of my first post. That’s two years I’ve been occasionally posting, and let’s be honest, mostly neglecting this blog. I had no idea what I was doing (still don’t) and I actually never even intended to begin in the first place. Sure, I’d always considered it as something to do “someday”, but when circumstances dropped an opportunity I couldn’t really refuse in my lap, someday became that day.
What I did expect, though, was that after two years I’d be on more than just my forty-eighth post (forty-seven not including this one). That’s less than one a fortnight. I never expected to keep up the volume of content from the very beginning, but I figured I could do at least once or twice a week. One hundred, maybe one hundred and fifty by now, I think, would have been a reasonable output.
I can use the excuse that it was difficult to post while I was travelling, or that I wanted to focus on my book, until the cows come home, but at the end of the day, I just needed to work harder. So, my resolution for the third year of the Asinine Bluff is to put that work in. I want to get back to posting regularly, if you could say there was ever a point where I was there in the first place. I also have some aesthetic changes I’d like to make, but those will come when they come, I guess.
Anyways, that’s all I wanted to say. The travel stuff is still coming, there’s just a lot to get through. Plus I have a couple of ideas for some other things I’d like to post, so stay tuned.
