If you would like to submit a restriction for the Flash Fiction Challenge, feel free to do so below. Just a few guidelines on the restrictions:
Title: the title of the story. Can be anything.
Dialogue: a line of dialogue that must be included. Again, can be anything.
Premise: this is the premise of the story. It can be vague or specific, but try not to be so specific that it leaves the story nowhere to go. Remember, this is the set-up, not the plot.
Technical: a restriction on how the story is written, anything from technical restrictions (eg. no commas, must be second person pov) to writing-specific restrictions (eg. every sentence must include the word ‘cheese’) to story-style restrictions (eg. must be written from the point of view of a sock). Bear in mind, the entire story must follow the technical restriction with the exception of the title and the line of dialogue in the dialogue restriction.
The restrictions for each Challenge will be taken randomly from the submissions, one for each type. They won’t be credited unless specifically requested, but there is an optional Name box if you care for your submissions to have a record of being yours. If you would like a further idea on what form the restrictions can or should take, or for some more inspiration, check out the previous restrictions from the Flash Fiction Challenge, for example here.
